The role is to assist in the monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of endpoints that we manage, resolve issues as they arise and taking preventable steps to ensure these issues do not reappear. Performing proactive tasks which include patching, performance updates/upgrades to servers and associated resources. The applicant will also work closely with our MSP in high-level security actions, backups, and disaster recovery efforts, ensuring that our clients and partners have usage to our platforms and services 24x7x365.

Role Responsibilities

Infrastructure:

  • Server resources – using our performance monitoring solution to ensure that resources are healthy and secure and to resolve any issues causing potential overloads.
  • Maintenance tasks including:
  1. Patching
  2. Software & application updates.
  3. Networking updates and upgrades.
  4. Mini projects to improve current infrastructure.
  • Application gateway and WAF management.
  • Research into tool improvements and implementation of researched tools.
  • Deployments – assisting with software deployments to existing or new platforms and services.

Major Incidents:

  • In the event of a major incident, it is expected that the applicant is on immediate standby to assist where necessary with senior members of the business and our MSP until the incident is resolved.

Personal Development:

  • CPD is highly support from the business and is expected that the applicant is researching, undertaking, and passing certified exams to help improve their current or desired skill set.

Requirements

  • Experience within a technical IT-based position.
  • Strong technical Microsoft experience.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, primarily Azure.
  • Great communication skills.
