We're on the lookout for an exceptional Teaching Assistant skilled in British Sign Language to join our team.

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: Final Salary based on experience

As a BSL-Skilled Teaching Assistant, you'll be the bridge that ensures every student feels seen and heard. Get ready to play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and empowering learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide BSL support to students with hearing impairments, ensuring full access to the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and implement lessons to meet the needs of BSL users.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, creating an atmosphere of understanding and support.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, ensuring BSL is seamlessly integrated.
  • Support the inclusion of students with hearing impairments in all aspects of school life.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/education qualifications.
  • Proficient in British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Previous experience within a school setting as a Teaching Assistant.
