Abatec are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client a forward-thinking Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis. Our client has established themselves as key delivery contractor on site at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.  Our client offers the opportunity to work on one of the UK’s biggest and technically challenging Civil Engineering projects. Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours) on site.  Due to the nature of the scheme the successful candidate will be required to undergo security clearance. 

As a Quantity Surveyor you will: 

• Have experience of administering contracts, resolving contract issues, valuations, CE’s etc. 
• Have working knowledge of NEC3 contracts. 
• Manage Change through CEMAR. 
• Manage projects to maximise opportunities and minimise risk. 
• Be required to work on-site at Hinkley Point C Monday to Friday. 

Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with: 

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying. 
• Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor. 
• Excellent understanding of NEC forms of contracts
• Excellent communication skills. 

Salary and benefits include: 

• £50,000 - £60,000 
• 25 days holiday rising to 28 days with length of service plus Bank Holidays
• Up to 20% combined pension contribution
• Performance related bonus of around 5%
