Position Title: Project Engineer

Specializing in services for oil & gas, energy & power, petrochemical, and water sectors, our company offers tailored solutions including maintenance, repairs, and complete replacement of pumps and rotating machinery. We cater to prestigious clients both domestically and internationally, addressing a wide range of pump types-from high-pressure, multi-stage units to smaller, over-hung end suction pumps.

Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned engineer well-versed in rotating equipment to assist the workshop manager in generating various reports like inspection reports, repair plans, and rebuild reports. Collaborating closely with the service department and workshop manager, you will provide guidance on optimal manufacturing practices for refurbishment projects and compile and distribute bills of materials (BOMs). This role will involve engagement across departments throughout project lifecycles, necessitating a comprehensive grasp of operational workflows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop Bills of Material (BOMs) for diverse processes to aid the service department and establish cost structures.
  • Compile reports detailing necessary repairs for rotating equipment.
  • Prepare essential documentation specific to each project, including inspection reports, rebuild reports, and repair plans for internal departments and clients.
  • Ensure timely availability of all required parts for the workshop by coordinating with various departments and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the quality department to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide assistance to the workshop manager as needed on additional tasks.

Candidate Profile:

  • Mechanical engineering background, with either practical experience or a degree qualification, is essential.
  • Proven experience with rotating equipment is a prerequisite.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of pump systems and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering and mechanical processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective time and workload management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.

Package Details:

  • Salary £40,000- £45,000
  • Workweek of 37 hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4 pm | Friday, 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.
  • Company pension scheme.

  • Radius Allowance based on commuting distance to the workplace.
