Position: Temporary/Permanent Full Time
On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Welder proficient in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding operations on various metal components and structures.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques and parameters.
- Set up welding equipment and select the correct welding tools and materials for each job.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and bevelling as necessary to ensure proper weld penetration and adhesion.
- Monitor welding processes and adjust to ensure weld quality and integrity.
- Inspect welded joints for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Always adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder with a focus on MIG welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and welding principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
- Ability to set up and operate MIG welding equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with various metals and alloys commonly used in welding applications.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid welding certification(s) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
