Senior Electronics Engineer wanted for an exciting new client of mine based in Cambridgeshire.


Job Responsibilities

  • Day to day, your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing, implementing, and testing printed circuit boards to support the project, focusing on drive electronics for nano-precision actuators, image capture systems, and miniaturised computers to implement closed-loop control systems.
  • Taking functional specifications and turning them into detailed designs.
  • Simulating and producing detailed analogue, digital and mixed-signal circuit designs
  • Developing schematics, designing PCB layouts and generating and managing BOMs for multi-PCBA product designs in Altium Designer
  • Producing and implementing test plans to evaluate designs and verify product functionality against requirements.
  • Debugging, testing and evaluating designs in the lab and supporting integration of electronics into the product alongside other team members
  • Working and communicating with vendors


Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • A fundamental understanding of PCB layout techniques and standards, including experience in PCB prototyping and soldering.
  • Solid experience creating and executing test and measurement benchtop experiments. Test and measurement experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other lab equipment.
  • Understanding of design for manufacture, test, cost and reliability
  • Trustworthy colleague to meet agreed project timelines and goals.
