To provide a flexible support service on a casual basis to a male child with complex needs, including autism and sensory impairments. Our client enjoys activities that are high energy, such as trampolining and swimming. He also enjoys yoga and spending time with those around him. He has an interest in trains and is a particular fan of Thomas the tank engine. Our client is generally a happy young man who enjoys close relationships with his care givers, he has a caring nature and a big smile!

The role will involve supporting our client to access activities, to maintain his safety and ensure that he is enabled to spend quality time with his mother and can enjoy social activities in the community on a regular basis.

The role will require support staff to be physically active and alert to any risk or dangers whilst working with our client.

Previous experience supporting children or young adults with challenging behaviour and additional needs would be preferred.

Previous experience working in a care environment is essential.

TeamTeach experience is desirable for this role, but full training will be provided.
Applicants must have a full drivers licence and it be possible for us to insure you to drive the clients vehicle.

Hours of work

These will vary depending on the client’s needs each week. A casual contract is being offered, with the possibility of increased hours in future. Flexible availability during weekends and school holiday periods would be required for this role.

Rate of pay

• £15.00 per hour weekdays
• £17.00 per hour weekend
• £17.00 per hour Bank Holiday

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
