The successful Production Engineer will setup, run, manage and maintain companies in-house manufacturing cell, resulting in the introduction of new product lines, product customisations, and upgrades, enabling company to react quickly to urgent product demands, whilst maintaining the quality standards demanded by our customers.

The role will involve:

• Provide support for existing product lines and lead the production aspect of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process.
• Monitor and report production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to relevant stakeholders.
• Champion a safe working environment, adhering to both internal company procedures and legal requirements.
• Support the creation of Engineering drawings where required.
• Provide operator training to ensure effective and safe use of equipment Develop, execute, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring the establishment of a resilient and consistently replicable manufacturing processes.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new line equipment, liaising with external vendors as required.
• Embed continuous improvement activities within our manufacturing operation using LEAN principles and techniques.

To be successful in this role of Production Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient at interpreting Engineering Drawings
• Capable of setting and maintaining Production line procedures and documentation
• Experience in AutoCad LT or other technical drawing software is desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP systems BC365 is desirable.
• Experience and understanding of the use of electronic test equipment to carry out basic functional checks is desirable.
• Practical experience of cable assembly any PCBA handling, ESD requirements and precautions is desirable.
