Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator who is also a licensed driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for beautifying and maintaining the internal spaces of social housing properties, ensuring they are both visually appealing and well-protected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct painting and decorating tasks in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate primers.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers with precision and attention to detail.
• Perform minor repairs such as filling holes or cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas before, during, and after projects.
• Communicate effectively with residents and property managers to address any concerns or requests.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator, preferably in a social housing or similar environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency in preparing surfaces and applying various paints and finishes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to painting and decorating.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or vocational training in painting and decorating.
• Experience working with diverse communities and understanding their unique needs.
• Knowledge of environmentally friendly painting practices and materials.
