£40,000 - £50,000 DOE + Commission + Car Allowance

Field based with regular office visits (East Anglia)

 

Our client is one of Europe’s largest independent producers of ecommerce packaging who supply packaging to huge household names and brands including Amazon and are on a mission to reduce the amount of single-use plastic from the e-commerce industry.

They are looking for a National Sales Manager, who has a proven track record of selling corrugated / e-commerce packaging to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for prospecting,  

The Role:

  • Research new clients, products, markets & exhibitions/events on a national basis
  • Generate & attend meetings
  • Prospect / cold call using own initiative, industry knowledge & best practices
  • Persuade new prospects and existing customers to place physical orders and / or accept meetings to establish packaging needs
  • Maximise profitable opportunities by understanding client operations
  • Increase company participation in tendered packaging opportunities
  • Successfully close opportunities
  • Log calls efficiently, ensuring the CRM is well-maintained
  • Attend exhibitions & relevant training courses to develop knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Adhere company policies & procedures related to Health & Safety, Quality & Management.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience of senior-level packaging sales is essential, ideally in selling corrugated or e-commerce packaging
  • Positive mindset with care of their work, clients & colleagues
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively under own initiative whilst being a team player
  • Ability to challenge / persuade prospect if required
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • Comfortable making unsolicited calls with superb telephone manner & communication skills
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with a pro-active work ethic
  • Confident and able to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office and LinkedIn).
