About the Role:

As a History teacher at our school, you will be stepping into a role that is both inspiring and impactful. You will have the opportunity to shape young minds, ignite their passion for history, and help them understand the relevance of the past in today's world. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are both engaging and informative, fostering a love for history among students.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the history curriculum, ensuring it is challenging, inclusive, and reflective of diverse perspectives.
  • Student Support: Provide support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their full potential and develop critical thinking skills.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Lead and participate in history-related extracurricular activities, such as history clubs, field trips, and special projects.


What We Are Looking For:

We seek a passionate and knowledgeable History teacher who is ready to take on the exciting challenge of a new role. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A recognised teaching qualification and experience teaching history at the secondary school level.
  • Strong Subject Knowledge: A deep understanding of historical events, periods, and themes, and the ability to convey this knowledge effectively to students.
  • Creativity and Innovation: The ability to develop engaging lesson plans that capture students' imaginations and foster a love for history.
