Job role:  Day services manager

Salary: £36,000-£40,000

Working hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Term time only (42 weeks per year)

As Service Manager, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of the students, ensuring a seamless operation of the day service. You will be responsible for managing budgets effectively and developing engaging social and educational activities tailored to the needs of each student. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations and support the head of service.
• Ensure exceptional, individualised care for all students.
• Develop and organise engaging social and educational activities.
• Manage and support a skilled staffing team.
• Collaborate with various departments to meet student needs.
• Effectively manage budgets to maximise student support.
• Conduct assessments, create care plans and perform risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation and care records.
• Administer medication and ensure safe medication management.
• Promote positive behaviour and address issues promptly.
• Ensure staff receive necessary training and professional development.

Skills and qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 4+ Registered Managers Award or a Diploma Level 5 in Health & Social Care, with a minimum of four years' experience in care services, including three years in a senior role. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. We seek a candidate who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with disabilities.
