A specialist Fintech SME that provides advanced data to Capital Markets is in search for a Technical Support Engineer to join their order team.

You’d be joining a small but efficient Op’s team to monitor these production applications and to make sure our daily batch jobs.

You’ll use your knowledge of these data pipelines to troubleshoot any potential production issues, and escalate to relevant teams internally/externally.

The company is a Market leader in Data Analytics, providing Financial services for their clients who are dependent on their services for workflows. They recently secured Series B investment, and have won awards for being Lead Data Provider. The role is hybrid remote, with 2/3 per month in the London office.

An ideal candidate with need to have experience in Python/Bash scripting, Linux, SQL, and

Responsibilities


• Monitor and make sure daily batch jobs complete in a timely manner
• Manage production incidents and escalate issues to the appropriated Dev teams
• Lead on customer issue including; diagnose, troubleshoot, identify solutions and resolutions
• Build reports and monitoring dashboards
• Produce tech notes and articles
• Occasional weekend work will be required with this role

With recent success/investment, the company is scaling across multiple departments, and this is a great opportunity to join a respected Fintech as they enter hyper growth phase.

You’ll be looking to grow their financial and technical support skills with internal growth forming an important part of the company’s culture.

A Finance/Fintech background would be an advantage but is not essential.


Tech:


• Demonstrable experience in a similar Application support position
• Experience dealing with production critical batch systems
• AWS
• Python or Shell/BASH
• Experience with incident management processes
• Linux/Unix
• SQL Database systems
• Splunk (bonus)
