As an Offshore ROV Pilot Technician on a rig project, you will be responsible for operating remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to support various offshore operations. Your role will involve safely deploying and retrieving ROVs, conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs, and providing technical support for the effective execution of ROV operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate ROVs in a safe and efficient manner, following industry standards, and complying with regulations
  • Perform pre and post-dive checks on ROV systems, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on ROVs, including component cleaning, repairing, and upgrading
  • Monitor the performance of ROV systems during operations, identifying and addressing potential problems
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the team in executing ROV operations
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute ROV operations, ensuring clear communication and coordination
  • Collect and analyze data obtained from ROV operations, preparing accurate reports for project teams
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Offshore ROV Pilot Technician in the offshore industry
  • Proven track record of operating and maintaining ROVs effectively and safely
  • Proficiency in using ROV control systems, including navigation, propulsion, and imaging systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of ROV systems and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform repairs and troubleshooting tasks
  • Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations governing offshore operations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and project teams
  • Willingness to work on rig projects in offshore environments for extended periods, adapting to changing schedules and working conditions
