Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

£35,000 - £36,000/annum

V7 are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter on behalf of our Birmingham based client. It's the opportunity to work for a leading player within the engineering utilities sector. You will be responsible for mechanical services across the UK.

Responsible for the completion of plant installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, operator training and warranty commitments at customers operational and construction sites and within a factory assembly premises as required.

The role is full time, permanent and on offer is a salary of £35,000-£36,000 plus vehicle and company benefits.

Duties:

  • Plan and supervise the work assigned
  • preparation of work documentation under the direction of the Installation Manager when required
  • Support scheduled and emergency call outs to clients.
  • Produce written documentation of all activities.
  • Maintain progress against the works program.
  • Check plant and tool certification is in order prior to work commencing.
  • Comply with safe working practices and requirements at all times
  • Plan and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and to site Health & Safety conditions.

Criteria:

  • Mechanical background and experience in similar type role
  • Comfortable with plant assembly
  • Flexible to work across the UK
  • CSCS card
  • Mechanical qualification desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
