Are you a Commissioning Engineer with experience in the water industry? Our client, a leading national tier 1 contractor, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Commissioning Engineer based out of Birmingham, working across projects for Severn Trent Water.

About the Role: As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful commissioning and handover of water infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams, you'll be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and optimising mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute commissioning activities for water infrastructure projects
  • Conduct functional testing and performance validation of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning phase
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities
  • Document commissioning procedures and provide technical reports
  • Provide training and support to operational staff during project handover

About You: We're seeking candidates with a strong background in Commissioning Engineering, preferably within the water sector. You'll have hands-on experience with testing and commissioning mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Candidates with experience working with Severn Trent Water or similar water utilities will be highly advantageous.
