Cammach are currently recruiting a QHSE Advisor on behalf of our innovative client based in Aberdeen. Our client provide a range of products and services to a wide range of industries including Energy, Exploration and Defence.

ROLE

As QHSE Advisor, you will be responsible for working with our clients leadership team to promote and maintain a positive quality and safety culture and overseeing a range of related business-critical tasks:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality

  • Update, monitor and identify improvements in IMS documents
  • Lead/assist in delivery of Management Review
  • Review supplier documentation and approve based on defined metrics
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report to the Quality Manager on non-conformances, corrective & continual improvement activities.
  • Lead/assist internal quality audits
  • Conduct checks on service deliverables to ensure they meet internal IMS requirements and ISO9001:2015 requirements
  • Conduct external supplier audits
  • Conduct Quality presentations
  • Work with all functional groups to ensure processes are understood and followed correctly
  • Work with project and operations management to ensure deliverables are on track and addressed appropriately.
  • Review contracts to ensure quality requirements are met
  • Deliver training and mentoring on Quality topics
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

HSE

  • Advise employees, contractors, and subcontractors of HSE initiatives, programs,
  • procedures and expectations ensuring that the safety culture is encouraged amongst al
  • Assist in Implementing, promoting and managing HSE awareness campaigns
  • Ensure that the workplace is monitored and is fully in compliant with all applicable OSH related standards, rules, and regulations
  • Participate in HSE discussions, Toolbox Talks, Risk Assessments, OHS Committee, after action reviews, etc. that help facilitate operations
  • Ensure that Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are maintained and communicated to employees
  • Update, monitor and identify improvements in IMS documents
  • Lead/assist in delivery of Management Review
  • Highlight areas where training / certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance
  • Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and bring to the attention of Management any relevant new legislation.
  • Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and maintain records of the assessments.
  • Ensure that all critical activities are risk assessed and control measures are applied before execution
  • Participate in operational risk assessments to help in identifying and mitigating hazards for critical activities.
  • Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports; ensure the results of the inspections are documented and shared with Global HSE Lead
  • Maintain accident and incident statistics, analyse trends, and propose and / or take remedial actions where necessary
  • Foster continuous improvement of existing HSE Management Systems through sharing of best practices
  • Assist with investigation of accidents, incidents (including near misses), and dangerous occurrences and make recommendations to prevent recurrence; assist in ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and provide recommendations to prevent similar incidents.
  • Work closely with Global HSE Lead to ensure all HSE aspects are communicated and
  • distributed to management and the workforce
  • Deliver training on HSE topics

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Safety Management and/or Quality Management
  • Lead auditor certification considered an asset.
  • Knowledge in local and international HSE laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the principles and requirements of ISO 9001: 2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018.
  • Experience working globally across multi-industry and market sectors, such as Military and Defence, Offshore Energy and Ocean Exploration
  • Experience in Risk and Hazard assessment
  • OHS Committee Certificate and experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written English with fellow employees, work crews, management, and clients
  • Ability to proactively operate in a global work environment
  • Confident leadership, command, and interpersonal skills
