Senior Demolition Estimator

Brief Outline      

•              An industry leading contractor in the demolition and enabling industry requires an experienced Estimator to work remotely and oversee tender and estimating processes for various commercial and infrastructure projects throughout he UK on a permanent basis, with view to progressing to a more senior management role in the company's commercial team in the foreseeable future.

•              The Senior Estimator will be responsible for pricing a diverse range of contracts, with a broad range of experience in demolition, enabling, earthworks and remediation being useful in this role.

•              The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in the company’s long-term future and progress.

•              This role will involve working from home, with occasional travel to clients and site visit when needed.

•              The client has been active in the demolition and civils sector for 35 years with an established client base and consistent work across the UK, working on some of the largest flagship projects for prestigious clients.

About the Role  

•              Overseeing tender submissions, and contract documents for financial and commercial presentation

•              Reporting into Director level

•              Develop the estimate at a level of detail appropriate to the size and complexity of the project

•              Identify potential cost risks

•              Source supplier and sub-contractor quotations

•              To liaise and maintain a good working relationship with Clients, Surveyors, Project Managers and attend pre-contract meetings when needed.

About the Candidate      

•              Previous experience and strong track record in estimating for demolition, enabling and earthworks contracts   

•              Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise

•              Analytical and problem-solving skills

•              PC literate

•              Commercially aware
