Role Overview
Position: Assembly Operative
Location: Waterbeach, Cambridge
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30
Pay: £12.70 per hour (increasing with skill level)
Training: A comprehensive 4-week training program

Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts and panels according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Support other manufacturing departments when needed
- Develop skills in your area, with your own workstation and tools provided

What you will be doing:
- Bonding
- Potting Inserts
- Filling
- Sanding
- De-coring
- Drilling
- Edge taping

Key Performance Measures:
- Parts completed per day
- Efficiency

What We're Looking For:
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings
- Experience with hand-held tools (sanders/drills)
- Familiarity with measuring equipment (rulers/verniers/tape measure)
- Time served or interest in hands-on production roles (e.g., carpentry or building background)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
