My client in the Armley area of Leeds are looking for an experienced Electrical CAD Engineer / Technician.

This is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of ultra-low loss amorphous transformer technology.

The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for producing the 3D arrangements, schematics, BOMs for the protection of our Transformers and working within the Engineering Team’s procedural framework to ensure all design requirements are met. Key areas include:

·Issuing marshalling & wiring schematics to client specifications

·Producing complete arrangements in 3D.

·Generation of BOMs for the developed arrangements.

·Developing and maintaining component libraries.

·Supporting the mechanical engineers where required.

·Maintaining standard designs.

·Investigating new technologies.

·Working closely with the fitting department to improve output to internal customers.

·Talking to customers to organise delivery / design of equipment.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

·Essential:

Knowledge & understanding of relay logic

Ability to read and draw electrical schematics

Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification

Fault finding skills

Panel wiring experience

·Previous experience of transformers would be ideal but not essential.

·Experience of Dynamics 365 would be ideal but not essential.

·AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical experience would be ideal but not essential.

·Autodesk Inventor experience would be ideal but not essential.

·Well organised with good communication skills

·A sound knowledge of engineering design principles

·Good numeracy and I.T. skills

·Good problem-solving skills

·The ability to meet deadlines.

·Attention to detail
