Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management within the construction industry and be adept at ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety. This role offers the flexibility to work from home, with occasional travel to our Birmingham office and project sites in Hull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures across all projects.
  • Conducting risk assessments and site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Providing health and safety training and inductions to employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintaining health and safety records and preparing reports for management.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager in the construction or M&E sector.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Birmingham and Hull as required.
