Job Overview: 
We are looking for a number of experienced Domestic Toolmakers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in refurbishing press tools and machining new parts using conventional machinery, including lathes, millers, and surface grinders. You will be responsible for working from engineering drawings and utilising all relevant measuring equipment to ensure the highest standards of machined parts.

Key Responsibilities:
Refurbish press tools and machined parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Operate and maintain all toolroom conventional machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders etc.
Utilise measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and precision in parts machined.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with press tools and machinery.
To achieve al machining goals and deadlines.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Toolmaker, preferably within a domestic toolroom environment.
Proficient in using conventional machinery, including lathes, millers, and surface grinders.
Knowledge of N/C controls would be advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of measuring equipment and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

Education:
•    Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeships in toolmaking or a related field are preferred.

Work Environment:
•    This role is based in a domestic toolroom environment.
