Senior Plant Inspector

MANE are currently looking for a UKAS RG2 category 3 Inspection Engineers to work onshore in the Southampton region. The role on offer will involve in-service plant inspections.
Tasks and Responsibilities of an Inspection Engineer:
- Preparation of WSEs in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
- Preparation of inspection work scopes to satisfy the Written Schemes of Examination. (WSE) I.e. specify access, insulation removal and NDT requirements.
- Carry out invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE. Typical equipment found on site: Process pipework, pressure vessels, heat ex-changers, distillation columns, PRVs and storage tanks.
- Interface with NDT team to provide clarification on NDT inspection techniques in order to meet integrity objectives.
- Preparation of high quality inspection reports, accurately describing the assets condition.
- Grade corrosion against company procedure corrosion scales. Raise mandatory defects when the acceptable limits have been breached.
- Review PRV certification. Ensure the device is correctly set and is overhauled/tested on a set frequency.
- Review WSE and inspection frequency post inspection to confirm accuracy and relevancy.
- Participate in the Risk Based Assessment programme for pressure systems equipment.
