VGC Energy, part of the VGC Group Ltd are pleased to be recruiting for a Quality Control Checker / DIM Checker (with PIPE experience) to start ASAP and within the Nuclear Industry
Temp-Perm basis
Full Time - DAYS
Mon-Thurs 7.30am - 4.30pm and Fri 7.00am - 1.00pm
£18.85ph
Quality Control Checker / DIM Checker - Responsibilities
- Inspection of pipes for uneven surfaces, leaks, corrosion and other visual impairments
- Evaluate workmanship and dimensions to ensure pipes meet client specifications
- Use tools and techniques to assess pipe condition
- Conduct impact resistance tests, tensile strength tests and temperature tests to ensure compliance with international standards
- Pipe quality control is essential to comply with regulations - standards cover inspection and testing of pipe welds, non-destructive testing and defect / repair / removal etc.
- Ensuring proper records and paperwork is documented
Quality Control Checker / DIM Checker - Requirements
- Experience with PIPE and within Steel Fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to manipulate data using excel
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
